We know, we know, Valentine’s Day is on February 14. But before you commemorate your loved one with red roses and fancy chocolate, consider celebrating yourself and the women in your life first. That’s right, February 13 is Galentine’s Day, a day for ladies celebrating ladies (we miss you, Leslie Knope), and we’re here for it.
Whether you’re spending G-Day (or V-Day) with your girlfriends or self, here’s our guide to practicing some TLC for the most special person in your life—yourself:
1. Meditate.
And put your phone down while you’re at it. Meditating for just a few minutes and disconnecting from the digital world offers a boost of mindfulness that helps us manage whatever the universe hands us—the good and the bad. We love apps like Headspace and Calm to help clear our minds and simply reflect on ourselves and the world around us.
2. Treat yo’ self.
That cookie (or three) that’s calling your name. That jacket you’ve been eyeing online. That sports class or overseas trip you’ve been dying to take. Whatever it is, take the plunge because you deserve it, girl!

3. Take a spa day.
Here's a little secret: You don’t have to leave your house for a luxurious pampering session. Warm yourself up with a hot bubble bath with a good read in hand. Top it off with a hydrating sheet mask for that extra bit of glow. May we suggest Rael’s Hydrolock Facial Sheet Mask?
(Psst: Our Masks are 25% off this week only! Use code VDAY2019 at Checkout.)
4. Declutter (and rearrange) your space.
Take a page out of Marie Kondo’s book and raid your closet of clothes you no longer wear (donate them) or rearranging your office space in the name of functionality. There’s something refreshing about cleansing and minimizing your spaces.
5. Eat a wholesome meal.
Nourish your body with a delicious, healthy meal and enjoy a night in with a nice glass of wine—but not without drinking plenty of water first!
